Piedmont Wine Class & Light Supper: January 25

Join us on Wednesday, January 25 to learn about the storied wines of the Piedmont region in Italy.
The wines of the Piedmont are among the top wines of Italy, and among the most respected wines of the world. Join us at World Class Wines, learn about this storied region and taste the great and long lived reds made from Nebbiolo, the quaffable reds from Barbera and Dolcetto, the “little rascal” white Arneis, the still and sparkling Gavi, and the celebratory Moscato d’Asti and Asti Spumanti.
This course includes a light supper paired with specially selected wines from the Piedmont Region: We will serve a light tasting menu such as: vegetables served with tonnato sauce with the whites, salami and cheese with the nebbiolo, a light pasta or sausage with peppers in red sauce with the barbera and dolcetto, and a light pastry with moscato d’asti.

Chef Borcherding is a graduate of the International Sommelier Guild Sommelier Diploma Program, a French Wine Scholar instructor (Wine Scholar Guild), Spanish Wine Educator (Wine Academy of Spain), a Wine Location Specialist with distinction from the Center for Wine Origins, and is currently completing her certification as a Master Instructor for the Rhone region through the Wine Scholar Guild.
Chef Borcherding is a co-founder of Taste and Compare Academy of Wine, Spirits and Food; and is recently retired from the Oregon Culinary Institute where she was Lead Chef Instructor.
